The search has begun…

That’s it. We’ve bitten the bullet. We broke all our teeth, and made the local dentist a rich woman, but a decision was made. We’re going to buy somewhere to live.

Big woo, I hear you say. Well it is. Given that a parking space with a south facing view is now priced at a squillion pounds (that’s about US$1.7 squillion for transatlantic readers), its clear that this is no small fiscal undertaking. We did consider buying a pacific island or minor east European country, but decided that the commute wouldn’t really be managable. Instead, we opted to add some additional cash and look for a 2-bedroom flat in south-west London.

So. If you’ve got spare cash burning a hole in your pocket, relief is at hand – I’ll take it – and even give you some germoline for your injuries. If you’ve got London flat that’s just too much effort to sell – hand it over, we’ll take it. Failing that, we’ll have to continue our trawl of estate agents and property websites.

And if you were wondering why there haven’t been many updates recently…well that’s because I’ve been busy working in the deeper end of London’s underground sex trade, trying to raise the deposit. Or something…
