Went in search of Sport Bernik to check out snowboard hire and tuition. Had our first lesson with Miha at 3: an hour of snow kissing, nose diving and knee-demolition. Hmmmm …mastering this would definitely be a challenge. Took time to reflect with a cheeky beer or two, pivo lasko and placilo, in the Ledeni Bar at the Kompas Hotel.
Ate at Penzion Lipa Taverna on Korośka. Between us we had mixed seafood salad and gnocchi starters and srnin golax (venison goulash) and quattro formaggio pizza. Food was excellent quality (particularly the seafood and venison) and totalled 8,200SIT (£23).
Thought I’d mention we were in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, for Keith’s birthday. What a beautiful place!
